National Certificate: Metal and Engineering Manufacturing Processes (NQF 2)

This Qualification is for any individual who is, or wishes to be, involved in a metal and engineering manufacturing processes environment. The purpose of the qualification is to provide learners, with the standards and the range of learning required to achieve competence in the operation and monitoring of machines in the metal and engineering manufacturing processes industry. This qualification recognises the skills, knowledge and values acquired by learners involved in operating and monitoring manufacturing machinery and assembling components and working in the metal and engineering industry using such processes.

This programme is targeted at learners who are currently in or are being recruited to work in a metal and engine manufacturing processes environment.

National Certificate: Production Technology (NQF 2)

This qualification provides learners with the range of learning and skills required to be able to perform a series of activities to support manufacturing, engineering and technology processes. Learners will acquire a range of skills in the identification of production parameters in manufacturing, engineering and technology industries and basic strategies to achieve them.

This programme is targeted at learners who are currently in or are being recruited to work in a production environment. The programme is also suitable for learners who are or will be working in a logistics and supply chain environment.

National Certificate: Production Technology (NQF 3)

This qualification provides learners with the range of learning and skills required to be able to perform a series of activities to support manufacturing, engineering and technology processes. Learners will acquire a range of skills in the identification of production parameters in manufacturing, engineering and technology industries and basic strategies to achieve them.

This programme is targeted at learners who are currently in or are to be trained to eventually fulfil junior management positions in a production environment. Junior management includes, but is not limited to team leaders, supervisors, first line managers, section heads and first level of management in an organisation at which an employee has other employees reporting to him/her.

Further Education & Training Certificate: Production Technology (NQF 4)

This qualification provides learners with the range of learning and skills required to be able to perform a series of activities to support manufacturing, engineering and technology processes. Learners will acquire a range of skills in the identification of production parameters in manufacturing, engineering and technology industries and basic strategies to achieve them.

This programme is targeted at learners who are currently in or are to be trained to eventually fulfil junior to middle management positions in a production environment. Junior management includes, but is not limited to team leaders, supervisors, first line managers, section heads and first level of management in an organisation at which an employee has other employees reporting to him/her.
